RT-11 V05.06 Customization Patches - Offset Symbol Definitions -------------------------------------------------------------- The RT-11 Installation Guide contains customization patches for the moni- tors and the utilities. As described in the manual, the addresses to be patched are defined as symbols, not absolute addresses. The values of symbols for monitor customization patches are obtained from the link maps distributed with RT-11 as the files RTSB.MAP, RTFB.MAP, RTXM.MAP, and RTZM.MAP. The /A option must be used with SIPP when you perform any customization to a monitor. That is, you couple the /A option with the monitor you specify in response to the SIPP utility prompt (*). The link maps for the utilities are not distributed however, and the following symbol values should be used to apply customization patches to them. The section number refers to the relevant section in the RT-11 Installation Guide. 2.6.5 Changing the Default Order of Directory Listings SWS = 6460 2.6.6 Changing the Number of /Q Program Sections LINK Allows QSWNUM = 1436 2.6.7 Changing the Size of LINK's Library Module List LMLSIZ = 1432 2.6.8 Changing the Size of the QUEUE Work File QSIZE = 1000 QCBLK = 2706 2.6.9 Modifying EDIT For Terminals with Nonstandard ESCAPE Code ALTMDE = 11053 2.6.11 Modifying BATCH to Save Space BASE = 0 Offset for: ..RDIR = 30475 ..RMAC = 31115 ..RFOR = 31126 ..RLIN = 31145 ..RPIP = 31160 ..RBAS = 31177 Page 2 2.6.12 Modifying LINK to Change the Default SYSLIB Device SYSLIB = 2536 2.6.13 Modifying the Help Text ..HLP1 = 10 ..HLP2 = 13 2.6.16 Setting VTCOM Default Dial String For VTCOM.REL: ..DIAL = 13013 For VTCOM.SAV: ..DIAL = 31325 2.6.18 Changing the Number of Bad Blocks That BUP Accepts Section 0 ..MBAD = 2142 2.6.19 Changing Default File Type Extension of IND Control Files ..INDF = 3452 2.6.35 Changing the Default Number of Directory Segments SEGTBL = 11430 2.6.36 Changing the Banner Page Width (NOTE: for ..NB1 and ..NB2, open those offsets as bytes.
